2018 Year in Review

Turn up that Volume and play in HD

2018, it’s not every year that you celebrate 5 years full time as a self employed creative.

39 weddings in 12 months. That may sound like a lot but it’s a number i’m super comfortable with. I’m lucky enough to be able have couples book me for their big day and in a hugely competitive environment that is wedding photography. My main point of difference is that I truly believe that my relationships with my couples is, and needs to be super comfortable for me to be able to make them totally comfortable on their wedding day. Yes, even the ones that aren’t fans of cameras.

I don’t just want to be a hired professional, I want to feel like I’m a friend. Then from that comes the trust that my couples put in me. Creatively, 30% of a full wedding will be spur of the moment, I see something and chase it.

2018 started at Jo and Jason’s in Country Victoria in 42 degree heat in Central Victoria at Wangaratta and the year ended with Cailtin and Rob’s Yarra Valley Wedding in one of my favourite locations to shoot at. The gorgeous Yarra Valley. I also shot at All Smiles Sorrento on the Beach, a rooftop same Sex Wedding in the CBD. To a Marquee wedding in outer eastern Melbourne on a private property. Country Victoria at Noorilim Winery Estate and so many more beautiful suburban weddings with some truly fantastic couples.

So as I sit here preparing for my 2019 wedding season to kick off I also have some huge exciting weddings coming up in Bali, A marquee wedding in Portland, several in the stunning Yarra Valley with some of the best sunset views in all of Victoria.

So if you know someone planning a wedding and looking for a wedding photographer, please have them contact me.

Also launching in 2019 is my Photo/Video packages. It’s me shooting photos and video side by side in unison. Don’t get me wrong, I know and have worked with plenty of amazing Videographers, but not every couple wants full blown video but want something more than just a slideshow of photos.

Here’s to 2019

Cheers Mark
